Welcome Back!!! Open for the 2012 Season

On Saturday April 28th, Jersey Shore Haven will officially re-open for the 2012 season!!

Hip hip hooray, let's hear it for Opening Day!

While we are always looking forward to seeing our old friends, there are many new faces that have joined us this year. Please take a moment to introduce yourself and pay it forward by lending a helping hand when you can.

The park is just about full :-) Fortunately, we will always have plenty of field sites for the rallies that are already planned.

And without further adieu, we would like to say THANK YOU (a million times over) to each and everyone that contributed to the success of the past week.  The whirring buzz of leaf blowers was all you could hear!  While the Leaf Crew was busy blowing debris to the road edges, the Kitchen Crew was cooking up tasty meals and getting the pavilion's kitchen ready for another fun-filled season down the shore.

Here are a few pics contributed by our very own Jim Maier. Thank you!

 See you 'round camp!

Important Campground Info - PLEASE READ

Power Cords Cut

We are sad to report that the metal thieves have struck JSH for a second time.  We have discovered in the last few days that a large number of the trailer power cords have been cut and stolen, presumably to recycle the wires.  We are trying to get the word out to as many people as possible who have their trailers stored at JSH because the power cord is going to need to be repaired before you can plug in.

Jim and Tina Davis have walked the campground this weekend and provided a list of trailers that are confirmed to have cut power cords.  In the interest of privacy, we are listing the site numbers below instead of names.  If your trailer was moved to the field for storage, and it was labeled with your site number, we have also listed it by site number below.

If your site number does not appear there is still a chance that your cord could be cut.  It was a big effort to survey the entire campground and it's possible that a few trailers may have been over-looked.  A special thanks to Jim and Tina for putting this list together.  They also provided the pictures as an example of the damage.

The campground has filed a police report.

Confirmed sites with cut cords:

C Row = 2, 8, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18

E Row = 14, 24, 28, 32, 50, 52, 55, 59, 67, 69

G Row = 6, 8, 18

L Row = 1, 5, 7, 10, 12

S Row = 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 15, 18

Clean-up Week 4/21 through 4/27

The equipment for the leaf clean-up is arriving on Saturday, 4/21.  Please come out and help if you can.  The clean-up will continue through Friday, 4/27.

The campground will be providing lunch 4/21 through 4/27 for those who help with the clean-up each day.
