The Countdown Begins...

Greetings Fellow Campers!

We are just about 1 month away from opening day at Jersey Shore Haven, and it can't come soon enough!

2012 SEASONAL PAYMENT DUE: If you haven't already, please send the balance due for your seasonal site.

OPENING DAY IS SATURDAY APRIL 28, 2012: However, as we did last year, the park will open 1 week prior for those people that are willing to volunteer their time and effort to help clean up the camp of fallen limbs and branches, leaves, etc. While it is a great opportunity to get your rig on-site and opened up for the season, it is NOT the time for putting up screenhouses - this time will be a work week.

FIRE RINGS: In January uninvited visitors known as "Scrappers" came into Jersey Shore Haven Campground to perform their selfish dirty deed of removing all the fireplace rings (truck split wheel rims) to take to some re-cycle scrap yard for profit. Times are really tough, to sell stolen metal for $.12 per pound minus the high cost of fuel to get it there. Now what will be the cost per pound to buy replacements if they are even available? Does anyone know of a trucking company that might have truck rims to scrap? Thank you to Jim Maier for this blog contribution.
